No Services until 31st January January will be a quiet month. The ONLY worship service for the month will be on 31st January. There will also be no service on 7th February (as per normal practice of no service at Hurstville on the first Sunday of the month) and our normal schedule of services will recommence on the second Sunday in February. The first Friday Tea and Class will be on 12th February. Enjoy the holidays.

PLEASE NOTE: There will also be NO Services at Roseville during January with their first service for the year being on 7th February

Many of the congregation will be away from 4th to 10th January attending the Family Camp at Elanora Heights. There will be a service at 10 00 am on Sunday 10th at the camp but please advise if you intend to attend.

A special event during the month of December was the wedding of Karen Lockhart to Mike Evans conducted by Rev Julian Duckworth at the Roseville church. Karen looked really beautiful in a dress that was described as sheer elegance. We hope to have a picture for the February newsletter.

Visiting from the USA for the wedding and Christmas are Scott and Kimberly Lockhart. They are also fitting in a holiday in the Whitsundays. Also soon to arrive from the USA before the end of December is Alex Sandstrom who is also planning to attend the camp at Elanora Heights.

In news just to hand we learn of the transition to the spiritual world of Rev Don Rose, a former pastor of the Hurstville Society who served here from 1957 to 1963 at a time when many of our current congregation were attending Sunday School. Don will be remembered with fond affection by many here in Hurstville and around Australia. Our condolences to his wife Noelene, who he met and married while here in Hurstville, and their family.

Just in time for Christmas is a new arrival in the Kennedy clan. Kathryn and Andrew had a baby boy Jett Stephen Rolles on Tuesday 8th December. Mum and baby are both well. He was born on Peter and Stephanie's daughter's (Ella) first birthday - so Gai and Merv have two grandchildren with the same birthday!

In town for Christmas with family are Margaret Heldon and her mother Grace Horner. They are both planning on attending the Family camp.
